Hi there and welcome to my little space in this wild world wide web!

I’m Elizabeth Shay but feel free to call me Liz; pour yourself some coffee (or red wine, it’s five o’clock somewhere) and let’s get to know each other.

 I love to tell stories, to entertain, to inspire, to inform. When you’re struggling to find just the right words to reach your audience, whether online, in print or via social media, I’m here to help.

I’m a writer and editor who specializes in content about the most love-filled experiences in life: weddings and having babies. They may be my specialty but I’ve put pen to paper for a whole lot of other lifestyle topics as well (oysters, makeup tips and tricks, and Malbecs to name just a few).

For years I dove deep into the wonderful wedding world as an editor at Style Me Pretty, where I spent my days creating real wedding features and advising brides-to-be on all things related to “I do”. In addition, I worked as the Membership Coordinator of Style Me Pretty’s exclusive vendor guide, the Little Black Book, where I assisted members on editorial submissions and formed lasting relationships. Prior to Style Me Pretty, I worked in lifestyle PR and event planning, where my organizational, editorial, creative and project management skills were polished and honed, and where my exposure to amazing food, gorgeous celebrations and more, led me to where I am today.

When I’m not typing away behind my laptop…

I can be found beside my scientist husband and my adorable toddler son. We’re originally from the east coast but moved west just a couple years ago and can often be found exploring our new homebase in the San Francisco Bay Area. We’re usually eating (savory for him, sweets for me), drinking (hubs goes for the craft beers and I’m partial to a good almond milk latte) and making special, messy memories out of our amazing, extraordinary yet oh so ordinary, little life.
